According to Hindu legend (and Wikipedia), it is believed that the gods released a swan with a lotus in its beak. Wherever the swan dropped the lotus, the four-headed god Brahma would perform a great yag\u00f1\u00e1 (a sacrificial ritual practiced since Vedic times). The place where the lotus fell was called Pushkar<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Believe it or not, it doesn’t matter, but what is certain is that Pushkar radiates spirituality, devotion and tranquility. Proof of this is the lake surrounded by ghats, the more than 400 temples that populate this small city in India<\/a><\/strong>, and the tranquility that can be felt when walking through its streets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, it is one of the seven most spectacular cities in Rajasthan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
