As evening approaches, vendors begin setting up stalls selling food and souvenirs. Don\u2019t worry, you\u2019ll find plenty of options here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-bamboo-buddha-bridge\">Bamboo Buddha Bridge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>During our last visit to Pai, we discovered the Bamboo Buddha Bridge, which offers a glimpse into rural life in northern Thailand. This long bamboo bridge, about two meters above the ground, provides a vantage point to observe the work being done in the rice fields without disturbing the laborers or water buffaloes.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conmochila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/pai-bamboo-buddha-bridge.jpg\" alt=\"Bamboo Buddha Bridge\" class=\"wp-image-39764\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Bamboo Buddha Bridge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>If it\u2019s sunny, it can get quite hot here with limited shade, so be sure to bring some sun protection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-waterfalls\">Waterfalls<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>There are at least three waterfalls around Pai: Mo Paeng, Mae Yen, and Pam Bok. Located a few kilometers from Pai, it isn\u2019t an extraordinary geological feature, but since there is no entrance fee, it is worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/gyg.me\/zgogmLR0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Sunrise Private Tour Jabo Viewpoint &amp; Nam Lod Cave from Pai<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conmochila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/pai-canyon.jpg\" alt=\"Pai Canyon\" class=\"wp-image-39762\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Pai Canyon<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Take a deep breath and climb the stairs; but be cautious near the edges, they don\u2019t seem very safe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-chinese-village-and-viewpoint\">Chinese Village and Viewpoint<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The touristy part of the Chinese Yunan Cultural Village or Santichon Village is mostly a collection of shops with overly artificial decorations. However, if you continue along the road and climb a bit higher, you&#8217;ll reach one of the most beautiful viewpoints in the Pai area: <strong>Yun Lai<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conmochila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/pai-pueblo-chino.jpg\" alt=\"Chinese Village\" class=\"wp-image-39761\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Chinese Village<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>There is a 20 baht fee to access the viewpoint, but the views are stunning and the walk there is enjoyable. For more information on visiting the Pai viewpoint through the Chinese village, refer to the link above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-memorial-bridge\">Memorial Bridge<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Located about 8 kilometers from Pai toward Chiang Mai, the <strong>Memorial Bridge<\/strong> was constructed by the Japanese during World War II to transport weapons and supplies to Myanmar.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conmochila.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/09\/pai-MEMORIAL-BRIDGE.jpg\" alt=\"Memorial Bridge\" class=\"wp-image-39760\"\/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Memorial Bridge<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p>Despite its historical significance, the bridge you see today is not the original one; it was rebuilt. Only curious pedestrians cross it, taking photos as souvenirs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-mae-hong-son-motorbike-tour\">Mae Hong Son Motorbike Tour<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The Mae Hong Son Loop<\/strong> is for the adventurous and motorcycle enthusiasts. This route starts in Chiang Mai, passes through Mae Sariang, Mae Hong Son, and Pai, and returns to the starting point. Having visited several times, we recommend these accommodations (all of which have private bathrooms), as we liked all three.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/th\/family-hut-pai.html?aid=372777&amp;label=pag-EN-pai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Family Huts<\/a>:<\/strong> Located on the opposite side of the river, this is the simplest and most affordable option of the three. The huts are basic but feature a porch and a hammock where you\u2019ll spend most of your time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/th\/pai-country-hut.html?aid=372777&amp;label=pag-EN-pai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Pai Country Huts<\/a>:<\/strong> Also situated on the opposite side of the river, these huts are a slightly upgraded version of the Family Huts. They are more spacious and have a more pleasant interior. The porch with a hammock overlooks the garden, which is our favorite feature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also leave you these accommodations by price range (from cheapest to most expensive), so you can choose the one that best suits your budget:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading margin-bottom-30\" id=\"h-budget\">Budget<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.booking.com\/hotel\/th\/twin-hut.html?aid=372777&amp;label=pag-EN-pai\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Twin Hut<\/a><\/strong>: Located 700 meters from the bus station and less than 1 km from Pai Night Market, this property offers accommodations with a balcony featuring mountain views and a shared bathroom with a shower. Facilities include a shared lounge, a garden, a terrace, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property.
