There isn’t much to do apart from relaxing on the beach and enjoying the sea. There are no bars or supermarkets, and choosing the right hotel is important, as transportation can sometimes be a bit tricky.

Until recently, there were no motorbikes available for rent on the island, so picking the wrong hotel could leave you somewhat stranded. While transportation is now easier, the roads on Koh Maak remain challenging.

The beaches on Koh Maak are stunning, some of the best in the country. The best time to visit is from mid-November to late February, when temperatures are pleasant, and there’s plenty of sunshine.

From February to May, it can get quite hot, but rain is rare.
